ATS provides training opportunities for various crafts most in demand in today’s job market. Through Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) Training Center, located in Westlake, LA, residents may be trained as Electrician, Instrumentation Fitter, Millwright, Pipe-fitter, Heavy Equipment Operator and Welding. Transportation is provided to and from training classes, which are scheduled after work on training days.

Residents are matched with the type of training which best fits their interests, ability and job placement possibilities. Our goal is to provide opportunities for success through education in job skills and improved work ethics.

Plans are underway to construct an on-site Vo-Tech training center on ATS grounds, separate from the housing area. This training center will fulfill the needs of ATS residents, while at the same time be available to members of surrounding communities.
